Oil products provide about 50% of Japanese energy. The stable supply of such products as gasoline and diesel for automobiles, kerosene for use in the home and jet fuel for airplanes is one of the corporate missions of Cosmo Oil; an important contribution to society and industry.
But just where does oil come from? How is it turned into oil products? And how is it delivered to the customer? To answer these questions we would like to take you on a brief tour of the oil business.
Cosmo Oil has long-term contracts with overseas oil-producing countries to purchase crude oil and the Cosmo Oil Group also produces crude oil.

Cosmo Oil's four refineries are located close to the major areas of oil consumption; each refinery manufactures not only gasoline and kerosene, but also oil products with higher added value.
