2. Supply/Delivery of Oil Products to Tohoku Area
(1) Correspondence to emergency procedures announced by METI
- Production increase
Production of oil products have been increased in Cosmo's 3 refineries located in the central to western part of Japan and delivery is prioritized to the earthquake damaged area
- Selection of "Prioritized Secure Supply Service Station" (hereinafter SS)
Selection of approximately 30 SS being made in conjunction with the local emergency centers to provide oil products with priority to (1)emergency vehicles (2)vehicles delivering supply to earthquake damaged area.
- Shipment/Delivery of kerosene in metal drums
Preparations are being made in our operating refineries located in the central to western part of Japan to ship/deliver kerosene in metal drums to the earthquake damaged areas.As the 1st shipment/delivery, 50 metal drums each containing 200 liters of kerosene have been dispatched from Sakai Refinery to Japan Defense Force’s Matsushima Base. More shipments/deliveries to the damaged areas will follow.
(2) Status of depots in Tohoku Area
Shipments/deliveries to depots along the coast of "Japan Sea" are being made to deliver oil products to the earthquake damaged areas. Prioritized delivery is currently being made to "places/facilities where the local and central government requires" and "places/facilities for emergency and medical care"
